Global Service Jam // South West
Mercedes do it, The Alzheimer’s Society do it, Orange do it, Kent County Council do it… Let’s do Service Design!
On Friday 11 March, nearly 50 cities around the world will be getting together over 48 hours for the first Global Service Jam. Working with a shared theme we will design and rapid prototype services. It will be a chance to learn more about service design and service design techniques… by ‘doing’. We’ll be uploading the results onto Global Service Design HQ Hub… and all the designs will be presented online so we can see all the new services from around the world.
A number of the team at Sea Communications are running an experiment trialing our developed collaboration system - Service Design South West. Global Service Jam have been kind enough to let us operate local and remote teams/individuals across the South West to do this. We are the only team that has their permission to go beyond a locally congregated team.
We want people from across ALL disciplines and sectors to take part in this design based process over the two days so of course designers are key.
You can take part in many different ways:
- at Pool Innovation Centre (locally)
- at another location with a small team (locally and remotely)
- from your home/sofa/bed (remotely)
We are not asking for your whole weekend. If you can just spare twenty minutes to add some content/ideas online or a few hours to come and work with us at PIC that would be great.
